As deviantART celebrates another birthday (wow, 14 already) I guess I should reflect back on a few works I have made or been inspired by with inspiration and collaboration from fellow artists and colleagues here.
I guess I started working on art in grade school from about 7-14 years old, and then I started to get into more digital and mixed media as I entered high school. I remember when Photoshop 7 was released and everyone (including myself) thought it was the best thing since sliced bread...I still do regard it as a master version in some ways. Hell I even still have a couple Photoshop 5 books lying around somewhere.
^^^This was a fun piece I made back some years ago with Ron1649, I was really into and still am into space art (and actual astronomy). I guess I just really like the idea of space being the last frontier for exploration, but the sheer size and vastness of it makes it seem like a herculean task.
^^^This was a very rewarding exercise in more abstract and line art. Another one of my favorite formats is mixed media abstract work, and for whatever reason I am still really captured by it.
^^^Both these pieces were made as product advertisements and practice in combining my own style of fine art with practical commercial use. I have since decided that I am better suited to creating my own art for art's sake rather than mixing business with pleasure, but I wanted to prove to myself that I can still combine the two when need be. Plus, Gran Patron was my first daily deviation, which was highly unexpected.
^^^This piece was made by a fellow deviant alyn that really spoke to me as a really inspiring and well made work of art. He's got wonderful talent, but for some reason I still think this piece is understated and more classic in some ways, and often overlooked in his flashy but equally impressive gallery.
^^^One last piece I find is by truly one of my favorite deviants, soad2K. His work in all abstract forms is truly inspiring and he is really a modern contemporary master whos works should be considered as an investment.
I guess that's my mini showcase, I really wish I had much more time to create but as life goes on, I am sure I will find and settle into something. Until then, I will keep on lurking and enjoying the art of so many others.
Happy 14th dA!

Happy 14th dA!
Everything is so different and weird!
Still lurking here from time to time, busy with work and other plans instead of uploading art or working on anything creative...but all in due time!
Something I have been noticing more and more is that a lot of deviants are all changing their usernames...this makes it incredibly hard for me to figure out who is who after all these years...especially when most of my friends and followers as well as inspiring artists, have all changed account names. They were famous for a particular screen name, and now honestly I can't find anyone anymore, and it makes me sad.
I'm still alive! I promise!
Wow it's been a while. I have been very busy with work and other things, but I am still alive and lurk around here on dA. I wish I had more time to devote to art and other creative outlets, and I need to work on getting more priorities straight. I will be back, and with some new stuff to show, too. I just don't know when, yet...
New Art...
Hmm yeah. I should. Any ideas?
June 1st: The Golden Llama!
I finally achieved the Golden Llama today at 12:04AM :dummy:
Thank you all who have given me llamas these past two months. I hope I have spread enough llama love, I gave out nearly 40,000 llamas :O
